Swim Hole Near Ponta Da Forcada

About 10 minutes from Lajes AFB, near Ponta Da Forcada, is a nice swim hole.

Amenities

·         Picnic area

·         Large Parking lot

·         Great views

·         Stroller accessible (but steep)

·         Rocky beach

·         Swim Area

·         Bathrooms and Snack Bar (open during the summer)

·         Boat dock down the street.

Directions

From Lajes Field Base Main Gate:

·         At roundabout take exit to right.

·         At T intersection make a right

·         At roundabout take exit directly across (pass Lajes Airport)

·         .2 Mi next roundabout take exit directly across

·         3.5 Mi you will see a sign on the left hand side of round that says, “Zona Balnear” Make a Right

·         At Y intersection: A left will take you to a boat dock. Go right to get to the Swim Hole.
